What data we process and why

• Server logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent) for security and troubleshooting (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Uploaded video files and related metadata (filename, size, mimetype) to provide the compression service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Compression outputs stored temporarily to deliver downloads, then automatically deleted (service delivery, Art. 6(1)(b)).
• LocalStorage in your browser for convenience (remembering your upload list and settings). This stays on your device.

Retention

• Compressed files are deleted after successful download, or proactively when free disk space falls below thresholds.
• Uploaded source files are removed if not actively processing and older than one hour, or earlier if disk space is low.
• Logs are retained only as long as necessary for security and operations, then deleted.

Recipients and processing location

Data is processed on our servers and may be handled by our hosting provider under a data processing agreement. We do not sell your data.

Security

We use HTTPS and restrict direct origin access (e.g., via Cloudflare). Uploaded content is handled only to provide the service and is purged per the policy above.
